This Morning
This morning, on advice of a friend, I inserted meditation early into my day. I recognize early conciousness can set the tone for the day, so this is important work. Before getting out of bed I do my “inhale peace, exhale love” mantra and think about what I need to do today. Every item that resonates anxiety I reframe into excitement and I feel the positive shift. Once I’m balanced, I head out to the couch, my cup of coffee before me, and try to meditate. I’m quiet, observing my in breath and out breath, but nothing’s really happening. I feel impatient, and then turn on TV (a gentle children’s cartoon, not the news) and start my morning routine with my tablet, checking in on finances and social media. My mother texts me to let me know that Monkey Pox has come to town. I reisist her invitation to add fear into my consciousness and move on.
An hour later, after taking our daughter to school, I go to YouTube to look for a Sylvia Browne meditation. There are several, so I just pick one. I easily follow her visualization and meet my non-binary spirit guide, named Groudan apparently, who looks tall and arched like my Superwatcher. Sylvia’s visualization features a meadow, a white pathway, a gazebo, a pink room with drapes, and the ocean. In the room, she encourages us to ask questions of our spirit guide. Sylvia suggests what to ask. I receive immediate answers. When will cash begin to really flow again? Six months. Will I survive or thrive? Thrive. How about our kids? Thrive. When will I meet someone? I already have. It’s not a romance; it’s a new friendship or partnership.
This Afternoon
The law of attraction is strong and I believe in it. I teach a lunch-time livestream meditation class today. Usually, I am met by a sea of black squares with names inside. Today, one participant arrives early to show herself and speak with me. She says she has attended all four of my meditation classes in this series and loves it. She brings up law of attraction, manifestation, the power of positive thought, and the value of loving yourself. She recommends two free audio books, one by Dr. Dwayne Dyer, “Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life” and “Power of Your Subconscious Mind” by Joseph Murphy, PH.D., D.D. These authors bring messages similar to those of the channels. I agree it’s wonderful when professionals validate these topics with their scientific approach. You used to dismiss this as pseudoscience. Since you died, I have asked the Universe to send me more teachers, books, and resources. They are coming — almost faster than I can handle!
